India’s chances in ICC World Cup 2015

The last world champions, the Indian cricket team is currently enjoying its battle with the kangaroo elevens, on their home grounds. The squad gave a tough reply to the half- a-thousand run tower of Australian team in the first test match, in which the skipper Virat Kohli showed his technical dexterities by hitting centuries in both the innings. But unfortunately, India couldn’t win. However, the consistency and strength that the Indian troop displayed on the ground give a glimpse of their potency – what they are capable of.

Many cricket experts have expressed that India has least chances of winning the upcoming cricket world cup, stating that the most of its players have either resigned or not been selected in the playing thirty. But, many Indian cricket buffs do not feel so; here’s why –

The batting line has become more stable. Even if the Lord Tendulkar would not be playing in the Indian team this time, but the team has grown up, and its batsmen have exhibited a great reliability, in past few months. They have achieved and set several world records, including Rohit Sharma’s double century a couple of months back. Rohit is the only batsman in the world, who has scored two double tons in ODIs; and India is the only team, whose three players have scored double centuries.

Bowing line too have bettered. The mysterious googlies delivered by Pujara and Ashwin have made India win so many matches and trophies. Additionally, lining in pacers like Aron and 6-feeter Ishant, in the Indian eleven, too, will add up to the qualities of the team.

Indian fielders are also doing a great job on the grounds, across the world. They surely are one of the best teams that have high chances of winning the upcoming ICC World Cup.
