If you are struggling to remove your old front, side or rear window sticker, or the one on the bumper, here are a few quick tips on how to remove stickers from your car –
Use Hair Dryer – Hair dryers blow hot air, which heats the sticker, and makes it easy for you to remove it. You just have to blow the hot air over the sticker, and the dried out glue will melt in a minute or two, and then you will be able to peel it out. When going with this method, you have to go slow. Hurrying might tear the sticker in two parts. After the sticker has been taken out clean the remaining gum, using lukewarm soapy water and a cotton cloth piece. In case of old sticker, you might have to follow this twice or thrice.
Use warm soapy water – Though it could be a time taking exercise, but this method does not require you to use any hair dryer or electronic device. You just have to spray or apply tepid soapy water two three times on the sticker. It will loosen the grasp of the sticker on your car’s window and bumper. After which you can scrub it with a piece of cloth. Rub it with gentle hand motions. If you feel that the sticker is still stern, you can spray the solution again. After applying the soapy water, allow the sticker to absorb it sufficiently.
Furthermore, you can also consider using lubricant to change your car sticker. On the upper side (corner) of the sticker, slowly pour a few drops of the oil, and rest for a few minutes. Once the lubricant covers the entire sticker, use a razor to remove the sticker from your car’s window or bumper entirely and smoothly.
