As a professional content writer, I have faced some workplace scenarios, where I was asked to meet the target of 2500-4000 words in a day. Even after knowing the fact, that writing is a creative thing, it can’t be completed by pressurizing the writer and there should be no minimum word limit target for writers, companies put it on them. I have a poor vision, due to which my eyes hurt, if I work under some kind of stress or pressure.

Though this is the most educated and advanced era, we are living in, there are some downsides, which are brought in by the technology. I am talking about your paining, dry, puffy eyes, which you carry along to your apartment, after every office day.

Well, it is indeed a bitter truth that apart from easing our life, the technology has exacerbated the human life. When you work on your office computer, for eight to nine hours, your eyes get badly affected. It also has a poor impact on your vision. Working for more than three to four hours per day on UV emitting monitor can increase your glass numbers.

Working on computer for hours?

When all this starts, your eyes gives you indication (signs like - pain, itch, and redness) that you should give lesser stress to them, but the work pressure on your shoulders do not let you do so. You keep on working with the same concentration and dedication – to meet your targets and deadlines – your company, boss or senior will never realize that. But, putting more than suggested level of stress on your eyes may claim your vision or may be it can give you some other eye or vision related diseases, which may also spoil your career – as you will not be able to work again.

In the following stanzas, I have suggested a few ways to cure your eyes and make them healthy and powerful.

Yogasana

Yoga is the ancient Indian practice, which, according to great many yogis and practitioners, is best at healing all kinds of ailments and diseases. Some of the most chronic diseases, including eye maladies, poor vision, etc. can be cured by practicing yoga for eyes. Anulom-Vilom and Bhramri Pranayam are the best asanas for eyes. Most yoga-gurus assert that by following these asanas, your vision will be bettered, and you will discontinue using optical devices. After a course of 15-15 minutes for 40 days, these asanas will start showing their results. There are some other exercises for eyes, which I’ll elaborate in my next article.

Acupressure

Pressure Point

There are some acupressure points in your palm and toe, if you will press them, you can improve your eyesight. These are long-practiced exercises that have helped thousands of thousand people, across the globe. Acupressure will not only better your vision, but also it will lessen the pain and puffiness in your eyes. It will also help you reduce the pain of migraine, which you feel due to excess work pressure and relationship problems. These points are depicted in the image below.

Go to your kitchen

Cucumber Slices can ease eye pain!
There are so many natural remedies in your kitchen that will immediately reduce the pain in your eyes. A glass of full-cream milk is the cure; however, many will call it an unhealthy thing, but full-cream milk is never an unhealthy consumable for you – it will help you stay fit and active all the way. If your eyes are paining, you should just go to your kitchen, peel off a potato or cucumber, and slice it, and put these slices on your eyes, for five minutes – your pain will head off.

Moreover, you should avoid staring at the computer screen for more than 20 seconds. You should keep blinking, instead of gawking at the monitor. The more you stare, the more pain you will feel at the end of the day. Drink eight to ten glasses of water, no matter what the weather is – it will reduce itching in your eyes. Take a break of two-to-three minutes after every forty-five minutes of work, it will help you relax and get fresh ideas and energy. If you feel these tips aren’t helping you, you should immediately visit an ophthalmologist or eye specialist doctor.
